Partner Dance 101 Workshop
Grab your partner, your hubby, your lover, your friend, your neighbour! Everyone is welcome to learn the basics of partner dancing in this super fun, beginner-friendly workshop with Katya from the Dance Together Project.
All genders welcome — just decide who will lead and who will follow. This playful intro class is perfect for anyone curious about moving with a partner. You’ll learn simple, practical skills that help you connect, communicate, and dance together (even if you swear you have two left feet!). Fun, supportive, and open to absolutely everyone — no experience needed.
Come for the dancing, stay for the laughs, the good vibes, and a little post-class mingling with snacks and drinks. Your $90 booking includes two people, snacks, and drinks!

We are partnering with the Chef Upstairs yet again to present an unforgettable evening of Partner Dance 101 & Pasta Making! Dinner & Dancing experience is designed for couples, friends, or partners who want something fun, social, and totally different from a typical night out.
No pressure. No experience needed. Just great food, gentle movement, and a lot of laughs.

Hip Hop 101 with Mel Hart
Bounce, Rock and Groove with Mel Hart in this fun and dynamic class that explores the foundations of hip-hop movement that can help you feel more at ease at your next social dance event! A warmup of grooves will start the class, followed by hip-hop basics and a combination danced to a classic song! All ages and levels welcome!

Kathak 101 Workshop
Join Kathak artist Sukriti Sharma for an introduction to Abhinaya, the expressive art of storytelling in dance. In this foundational session, you will learn the core principles of using your face, eyes, and hands to convey emotion and narrate a story. Seasoned Kathak dance artist Sukriti Sharma will guide you through basic facial expressions (bhav) and hand gestures (mudras), demonstrating how to connect them with a simple Kathak composition. This workshop is designed for all levels focused on Abhinaya, providing a supportive environment to explore this beautiful and powerful aspect of Kathak.

This Canada Day, join Karishma Mansingani and Naach for Fun! Presented in collaboration with the City of Vaughan and Dance Together Project. Bollywood dancing comes from the Indian film industry and incorporates traditional Indian and Bhangra folk dance with Hip Hop, Jazz, Latin and Bellydance styles. It is energetic, expressive and so much fun! No prior dance experience necessary, free to attend. Bring the whole family!
Dance Together Festival 2025 - Mimico
The Dance Together Festival transforms public spaces and celebrates community through diverse and inclusive dance workshops, vibrant visual art and live music. The festival offers free workshops and events that centre on positive and accessible dance experiences. Open to all ages, levels and abilities.
In 2025, we are back in Mimico for our 8th year with open dance workshops in Hip Hop, West African, Swing, Vogue, Brazilian Forró, Soca and more! This year will also feature live bands, social dancing and performances on the dance floor mural! Open to all levels, ages and abilities. This class is for anyone interested in basic skills and ideas for dancing with a partner. It will help you with your two left feet, and more! Fun, practical and open to all. No prior experience necessary.
Flow of the Evening:
6 pm – guests arrive and enjoy some time to snack and mingle
6:30 pm – get cooking! join us in the kitchen to prepare your main course
7:15 – enjoy the chef prepared appetizer
7:30-7:45 – enjoy the main course
8 pm – dancing begins
9 pm – enjoy dessert

Dance Together: Move to Music
A dance program for adults 50+ with dance artist Katya Kuznetsova. Each session will include a gentle warm-up and stretch followed by movement activities that can be done seated or standing. The music includes Brazilian drumming, Cha-Cha-Cha, Swing and Waltz! No prior dance experience is required.
Katya Kuznetsova is a professional dance artist with a focus on nurturing human connection and building community through dance. As the founder of the Dance Together Project, she creates dance with “non-dancers” in a way that embraces vulnerability, builds confidence and opens access to the joy of human connection. She develops exceptionally fun and inclusive dance programs for adult learners with a mission to facilitate enjoyable and engaging dance experiences for everybody, regardless of skill level or variations in physical ability. Since 2019, together with several dance and visual artists, she has been co-producing the Dance Together Festival, which transforms city neighbourhoods through large scale dance floor murals and community dance events that celebrate positive and accessible dance experiences.
